For hosts
Cancelling a booking on your space.
Sometimes you have to step back from a confirmed booking — that's OK. Here's what happens, in plain language, so there are no surprises for you or the guest.
- 1
Open the booking in Hosting
Go to Hosting → Calendar, find the confirmed booking, and tap it to see the guest, the date, and the agreed price.
- 2
Tap "Cancel booking" and pick a reason
Choose the closest reason from the list — emergency, double-booking, space unavailable, etc. The reason is shared with our trust & safety team, not the guest.
- 3
Review the impact before you confirm
Host-initiated cancellations within 14 days of the event may incur a small fee and a temporary calendar block to protect guests. The exact numbers are shown before you confirm — never hidden.
- 4
Confirm the cancellation
Once confirmed, the guest is refunded automatically and notified. We also offer to help them rebook a similar GÜÜR space at no extra cost.
- 5
We pause your calendar (only if needed)
For repeated last-minute cancellations, your calendar may be paused for a short period so guests can trust your listing. First-time and emergency cancellations don't trigger this.
- 6
Need to cancel because of a real emergency?
Reach out to your dedicated host success contact, or call +976 7000 0000. Emergencies — illness, family loss, structural issues with the space — are handled case by case with no penalty.
Why we're strict about host cancellations
Guests on GÜÜR plan real events around your space — weddings, launches, productions. When a host cancels last-minute without reason, it lands the guest in a tough spot and damages trust in the platform for everyone. Our policies exist to keep both sides protected — never to punish hosts in genuine emergencies.
